Dorie is a comedian/story-teller/joy-bringer and best-selling author who believes that caffeine is keeping her alive, popcorn should have its own food group, dry-cleaning saves marriages and that true joy comes from knowing we are worthy of God’s love in the middle of all our imperfections.  

 

She has been speaking and performing stand-up comedy since 2006 for audiences coast-to-coast and around the globe.  Who else can say they have performed on a stage in a Chick-fil-a parking lot and for a group of Syrian refugees?  Not many people.   

 

Her favorite events are Ladies' Night Out fundraisers with groups of women at churches who see laughter as soul medicine (and possibly have coffee and chocolate fountains in their lobby) and women's retreats and conferences, but she also has performed for corporations such as Apple, Ambit Energy, and more.

 

She has shared the stage with comedians Anjelah Johnson, Ben Bailey (Cash Cab), Dove award-winning comedian Bone Hampton, Bob Smiley, Kerri Pomarolli, Cleto Rodriguez, Robert G. Lee, David Pendleton, Cory Edwards and several others.

Recently, the Christian Comedy Association had her deliver a keynote speech for its annual national conference and she had the opportunity to provide an after-party comedy show for the Thrive Women's national conference.  She has performed comedy with speakers Alicia Britt Cole, Renee Swope (Proverbs 31 Ministries), Dr. Caroline Leaf and more.

Dorie also travels with the Unknown Tour, Aspire Women's events, the Funny Together Tour, Blush Events, and with comedian/speaker Michael Jr., in addition to the carpool line at two different schools. 

 

Her stand-up special, "Carbetarian" was recently released on Dry Bar Comedy with Angel Studios and you may have seen her performing on TBN's "Huckabee Show"  She was a co-host on Michael Jr.’s Funny How Life Works podcast’s “Off the Page” series.

She wrote the bestselling women's devotional book, "Hope Looks Good on You!  A Comedian's Joy-inducing Daily Devotional for Women" to help women develop a habit of hope in their lives.  

 

She has partnered with Unlocked Ministries to get her book into their boxes of hope delivered to women in prisons and to women in group homes who have been victims of domestic violence and sex trafficking.
